Do I need a base?
Yes – every garden building needs a firm, level base, ready before your building is put up. Where we sell a matching base for this building, you’ll see it as an option above.

Getting the size right: the size in a building’s name (for example “8x6”) is a rounded, nominal size. The real floor or base footprint can be a little different, and the roof usually overhangs further. Build your base to the manufacturer’s base or floor measurement, not the name.

Description
The Burnham Bolt-On is a timber greenhouse designed to attach to an existing garden structure or wall, making the most of your current space. The back panel fixes to the outside of your existing building, and the half-boarded side panels sit on boarded dwarf walls included as standard. A matching bolt-on storage shed is available if you want secure storage alongside the growing space.

- Frame: 44mm x 44mm pressure-treated RaC framing with a factory-applied microporous oil coating, which needs re-applying each year
- Glazing: 3mm toughened glass throughout
- Dwarf walls: boarded 11mm pressure-treated cladding, supplied as standard
- Staging: two-shelf staging with brackets
- Ventilation: 2 opening windows; 4 on the 9ft4in x 8ft3in size
- Hinges & ironmongery: chrome-finish hinges; door fitted with a 3-lever mortice lock and chrome handle
- Base: clip installation system, allowing the greenhouse to be relocated
- Door: 1695mm x 720mm, right-hinged
- Eaves height: 1790mm
- Sizes: 4ft9in x 4ft4in up to 9ft4in x 8ft3in (1448mm x 1320mm up to 2845mm x 2515mm)
- How we measure: sizes are shown as length x gable end, so on a 10ft x 8ft building the 8ft side is the gable end. Some other manufacturers quote sizes the other way round, so please check the layout against your space before ordering.

Before your delivery day
Your base needs to be level, solid and the same size as the building's floor, and someone needs to be home to let the team in. Not sure about your base or your access? Send us a photo and we'll check it for you. Full details on our Sovereign delivery, installation and guarantee page.
Guarantee: 1 year on the installation work. Treat the timber with a spirit-based preservative when it goes up and once a year after, to keep the guarantee valid.
