The sizes we use are the building’s external size. They don’t include roof overhangs, or guttering where it’s included. In our experience, we advise leaving 18in to 2ft (about 45–60cm) clear on all sides so you can get round it for maintenance. This tool is a rough guide to help you find buildings that could be suitable – please check the exact size with us before you lay a base.
