Timber or composite?
Both are made in the UK and come in the same sizes and door options in the builder. Both are built on the same Tanalith E pressure-treated 38 x 50mm timber frame — the composite is the skin; the frame is timber.

Every building in the Sheds DIY range arrives as a flat-packed kit with pre-built panels, and plenty of people happily put it up themselves. If you'd rather not, add professional installation:

- Your building travels with the fitters, so it's delivered and built on the same visit — no separate delivery day to wait in for
- You'll get a call after ordering to agree a date — fitting is currently booked around 4–6 weeks ahead
- Choosing an EPDM rubber roof? Professional fitting takes the roof warranty from 20 to 30 years

Good to know
Do I need to build it myself?
Only if you want to. The kits come with pre-built panels, so it's a case of fixing them together rather than making anything. If you'd rather not, add professional installation — one flat price whatever the size, within 185 miles of the manufacturer's West Midlands workshop.
How do delivery and installation work?
If you choose installation, your building travels with the fitting team, so it's delivered and put up on the same visit on your prepared, level base — there's no separate delivery date. After you order you'll get a call to agree a date; fitting is currently booked around 4–6 weeks ahead. If you're building it yourself, it's delivered flat-packed and delivery timescales and access are confirmed when you order.
What do I need ready before it arrives?
A level, solid base the same size as the building's floor. Not sure what you need? Read our guide to choosing a base, or send us a photo of the spot and we'll tell you.
Is it treated?
Timber buildings use pressure-treated tongue and groove shiplap from Scandinavian timber, with heavy duty roofing felt. There are composite buildings in the range too, if you'd rather have something that needs no treating at all.
Can I see one before I buy?
