FAQs

Ordering & delivery

What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver across mainland England, Scotland and Wales. A1 Garden Buildings have a smaller delivery area, and some Shire areas carry a surcharge – see our Delivery & Installation page.

Who actually delivers my building?

Each manufacturer fulfils and delivers their own buildings directly — we don't run our own delivery fleet. That means delivery timing and the exact process can vary a little by brand, which we'll always confirm with you before your order is finalised.

What happens after I place an order?

We check every order by hand before it goes anywhere — Craig will call you personally to confirm the order and the full specification, then pass everything on to the manufacturer for production and delivery.

Can I cancel my order once I've placed it?

Because our buildings are made to order for you, orders can't be cancelled once placed without applicable fees. See our full Cancellation policy for details, or get in touch if you're unsure.

Do I need planning permission for my garden building?

Most sheds, garden rooms, log cabins and garden offices in England can be built without planning permission under Permitted Development rules, provided they meet conditions on height, position, boundary distance and garden coverage. Try our free Planning Permission Checker for a plain-English steer in under two minutes, or read our full planning permission guide. This is guidance only, not legal advice — always confirm with your council before ordering.

Guarantees & trust

What guarantee do I get on my building?

It depends on who makes it, and the difference is a big one, so it's worth checking before you choose. Sheds DIY timber buildings carry a 20-year anti-rot guarantee; their composite buildings have a 30-year manufacturer warranty on the composite cladding, plus the 20-year anti-rot guarantee on the timber frame. Suresheds publish a 10–15 year anti-rot warranty on their timber, Lifelong steel sheds carry 15 years, and Power Sheds, Beeston concrete garages, Pent Haus garden rooms and the Sovereign Vista Collection all carry 10 years. Elite Greenhouses publish a 10-year frame guarantee. Sovereign and Coppice Collection buildings are different — they carry a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee on the installation work, with ex-display buildings and roofing felt excluded. Our own LOJ garden furniture carries a 20-year anti-rot guarantee, and our LOJ gazebos, pavilions, summerhouses and carports carry a 10-year guarantee against decay, insect attack and weathering. Fortis insulated workshops by Shire carry a 10-year limited product warranty (20 years on the EPDM rubber roof), and Shire Heritage buildings 12 months (15 years on the Enduro workshop). For Shire's main range and A1 Garden Buildings, we'll confirm the terms before you order. Our Warranty & Guarantees page sets out each brand in full, including the ones that don't publish a figure, where we'll confirm the terms for you before you order.

Is roofing felt covered by the guarantee?

It depends on the brand. Roofing felt is excluded from the Sovereign guarantee, along with ex-display buildings. Suresheds set their own separate roof terms — 12 months on a felt roof and 25 years on a rubber roof. The two aren't the same, so please go by whichever applies to your building, and ask us if you're not sure.

Are your reviews genuine?

Yes — our reviews are left by real customers on our Google Business profile, not written by us. You can see them on our Reviews page.

Buying & paying

Do you offer finance?

Yes, finance is available on qualifying orders, subject to status. See our Finance page for full details.

Can I pay with Klarna?

Yes. Choose Klarna at checkout to pay in 3 interest-free monthly instalments, or pay the full amount in 30 days with no interest. The options you're offered depend on your order and Klarna's checks, and Klarna's terms apply. Klarna is a form of credit — missed payments may affect your credit score. For longer-term finance on bigger buildings (3–10 years), apply through Ideal4Finance — see our Finance page.

Do you charge VAT?

Yes — our VAT number is GB488083549.

We're not always on site, so ring us on 01543 398778 or book a visit if you'd like someone to show you round. Not every model is on display, so call first if you want to see a particular one.
