Choosing a greenhouse
Pick a sunny, sheltered spot, then choose the size. Most growers wish they had gone bigger, so allow room for staging and a path. Our sizes are the outside size of the greenhouse.
Frame and glazing
Aluminium frames are light, strong and need little upkeep. Timber frames look softer in the garden and need treating now and then. Glazing is glass or polycarbonate, depending on the model.

Bases and fitting
A greenhouse needs a firm, level base. Many models offer a matching base or base frame as an extra, and staging and shelving are in accessories. Some greenhouses include installation. Our Display Site at Buzzards Valley, between Lichfield and Tamworth (B78 3EQ), has 20+ buildings to walk round, 7 days a week. Not every model is on display, so ring 01543 398778 if you want to see something in particular or talk it through. Several greenhouses are on display.
Should I choose an aluminium or timber greenhouse?
Aluminium greenhouses are light, strong and need very little upkeep. Timber greenhouses look more traditional in the garden, but need treating from time to time.
Glass or polycarbonate glazing?
Glass lets in the most light and looks clearer. Polycarbonate is lighter and tougher, so it can suit gardens with children. The glazing on each model is shown on its product page.
Does a greenhouse need a base?
Yes, a greenhouse needs a firm, level base so the frame stays square and the glazing sits right. Many models offer a matching base or base frame as an extra.

What size greenhouse should I buy?
Go as big as your space and budget allow, as most growers soon fill a greenhouse. Leave room for staging on one or both sides and a path down the middle.
Can I see greenhouses before I buy?
Yes, several greenhouses are on display at our Display Site between Lichfield and Tamworth, open 7 days a week. Ring 01543 398778 if you want to check a model is there.
