Do I need a base?
Yes – a concrete base is required. Ask us and we’ll talk you through it.
Getting the size right: the size in a building’s name (for example “8x6”) is a rounded, nominal size. The real floor or base footprint can be a little different, and the roof usually overhangs further. Build your base to the manufacturer’s base or floor measurement, not the name.
Can’t see the exact base size for your size on this page? WhatsApp us before you lay a base and we’ll check it with the manufacturer.
Do I need planning permission?
Many garden buildings don’t, but some do – it depends on the size, the height and where it goes in your garden.

Which door will I get?
Up to 14ft 5in wide, your garage comes with a single 7ft Hörmann up-and-over door as standard. Choose a width of 16ft 5in or more and your garage becomes a double garage, built with two 7ft up-and-over doors side by side instead of one wide door. If you'd like a wider 8ft door or a different door style, these are available as optional extras — see our Beeston Garage Optional Extras page.

- Guarantee: Beeston's 10-year structural guarantee covers cracked concrete wall panels and front posts, faulty roof welds or corrosion, and roof sheets with serious defects. The Hörmann door carries a 10-year operational warranty, with 5 years on its moving components.
Optional extras

Available extras include a Hörmann standard up-and-over door in 8ft, Hörmann Marquess and Georgian doors in 7ft and 8ft, a Hörmann steel side door, a wooden side door, an extra window, a uPVC double glazed window, and guttering by the foot. The same range applies as on our Apex garage, with the exception of the uPVC white fascia upgrade, which is apex only. If you would like a different garage door style, just ask and we will quote it for you.

Your base
A suitable concrete base is required, and the base is the customer's responsibility. Beeston's structural guarantee does not cover problems arising from an unsuitable or incorrectly prepared base, so it is worth getting right — ask us about our trusted subcontractor base-laying service if you need one arranging.
