Vitavia's range covers a large number of named models, from compact starter greenhouses to premium, semi-professional designs, so here's a quick guide to the things that make the biggest difference when choosing.
Frame material
Vitavia greenhouses come in aluminium or steel frames, and this varies by model rather than by size – check the individual product page to see which one you're looking at. Aluminium won't rust and needs no maintenance; steel frames are treated to resist corrosion but are worth a closer look if you're near the coast or in an exposed spot.
Glazing
Most models are available in either glass or polycarbonate. Glass gives the clearest light and a premium look; polycarbonate is lighter, harder to break, and gives a little extra insulation, which suits an exposed or family garden.
Low-threshold doors
Several of the more premium Vitavia models feature a low-threshold door, which makes it easier to wheel a barrow or trolley in and out – worth looking for if that matters to you.
Size & staging
With 13 named models in the range (Freya, Sirius, Zeus, Cassandra, Saturn, Orion, Hera, Neptune, Jupiter, Ida, Phoenix, Venus and Apollo), there's a wide spread of sizes – the exact footprint, eaves height and included staging vary model to model, so check the individual product page for specifics, or call us and we'll talk you through the options that best fit your space.
Accessories
Once you've chosen a model, you can add staging (1-tier, 2-tier, folding or top-tier), shelving, a cresting ridge finish, guttering/downpipe kit, curtain shading, a thermometer or hygrometer, and additional vents.
